When did you get into kiting?

In 2000 I would go to the beach with my Dad and fly his kite, then during a Kitesurf holiday in the Caribbean he eventually taught me how to kitesurf. I have never stopped since!

What are your biggest achievements in kiting so far?

I won 5 World Championships from 2004 - 2008 followed by KOTA titles in 2015 - 2016. I have been lucky enough to create many video projects and help develop some of the industry's leading products.

What excites you about joining the Harlem Family?

I am really excited to play a key role in developing gear and influencing a product line that will impact the industry. I can’t wait to be involved and help use my experience to grow the brand, alongside using some incredible gear that I can continue to use at the highest level.

Current gear set-up:  Harlem Force, Lead bar and Rocker board.

What do you like about the gear set-up?

Using new technology and material combinations makes a unique and high performance kite. The possibilities are amazing and the kite and bar combination gives me huge confidence to push my tricks and rely on the gear in extreme conditions.

What are your goals and aspirations for the future?

I am motivated to work on new products and help produce industry leading gear on which I am able to use and compete in competitions such as KOTA and the World Tour.

Favourite spot in the world?

Cape Town, South Africa

What or who inspires you?

I love to see athletes and entrepreneurs pushing the limits in their field.

There are key figures in many sports that have continued at the highest level for many years, bridging generations. It is inspiring to see this too.
