We caught up with the Italian powerhouse, 2022 KOTA winner and 2023 KOTA Vice Champion, Lorenzo Casati, to find out what excites him about the Harlem Family and what his aspirations are for the future. Read on below.

Where are you from? Italy

And where are you based now? Tenerife, Spain

How did you get into kiting?

When I was a kid my dad used to bring me with him on the board between his legs and 7 years ago I decided it was time to learn to kite alone. Thanks to my father teaching me it, I learned to kite.

What are your biggest achievements in kiting so far? 

Winning the Red Bull King Of The Air 2022.

Why joining Harlem? What excites you about joining the Harlem Family?

I joined Harlem because of the people and the materials. It feels like being part of a big family, everyone is super friendly and open minded and we can really work together to always push the sport to the next level, and as well i joined for the crazy kites they have and can really push my level.

What do you like about the gear set-up? 

The Force it's an incredible kite for everything that I do, it has massive lift and crazy good looping and its allows me to push myself in the water. 

What are your goals and aspirations for the future?

Winning all the competitions that there are in Big Air, Strapless and Wave…it’s not easy but I will try !

Favorite spot in the world: Cape Town

What or who inspires you? My dad

Describe yourself with 3 words:  Motivated, Hard-Working, Dreamer

Any curious fact about you that no one knows yet:

The first time I tried a Back-roll,  I landed a double Back-roll.
