Italian powerhouse and true waterman Lorenzo Casati delivered a standout performance, securing podium finishes at both the GKA Hydrofoil and Kite-Surf World Cups in Sylt last week.
In his first Hydrofoil event, Lorenzo advanced convincingly to the final heat, showcasing his diverse skills in the challenging North Sea conditions. After an intense final against Joselito del Rosario, Peer Schnyder, and Charles Brodel, Lorenzo claimed the silver, proving once again that his talent knows no bounds.
The following day, the action shifted to the Kite-Surf discipline, where riders showcased their freestyle tricks before transitioning to wave riding. Powered by his Harlem Thrive, Lorenzo effortlessly navigated the gnarly conditions, landing every trick and maneuvering through every wave with remarkable precision, finesse, and style. His efforts earned him a 3rd place on the podium, further proving his unmatched versatility and prowess on the water.
Joining Lorenzo in the Kite-Surf competition was his younger brother, Leonardo Casati. Despite the tough conditions, Leo displayed incredible talent and determination, advancing to the third round before facing a narrow defeat against Matchu Lopes.
Both Casati brothers chose the Harlem Thrive as their weapon of choice for both the Hydrofoil and the Kite-Surf competitions. From massive Big Air jumps to smooth wave maneuvers, the 3-strut machine proved it handles it all with ease, regardless the discipline or the conditions.
Congratulations to both Lorenzo and Leonardo on their incredible performances. Training continues as the Big Air season kicks off soon. Next on the competition calendar is the gnarly battle up north—Cold Hawaii—where we’ll see two Harlem riders in action again: Lorenzo Casati and Frenchman Clément Huot.
