Lorenzo Crowned King. Leonardo Takes 2nd in His Debut. Lana Herman Shines with a Dream Podium.
Red Bull King of the Air 2025 will be remembered forever — not only for the level of riding, but for a moment that redefined what is possible when talent, discipline, innovation, and family come together. For Harlem Kitesurfing, this was more than a victory. It was the validation of a vision.

On the most iconic stage in the sport, Lorenzo Casati was crowned King of the Air.
Sixteen-year-old Leonardo Casati, competing for the first time, delivered a jaw-dropping debut to secure second place — making it the first time in history two brothers reached the final together and stood side-by-side on the KOTA podium.

And in the Women’s Division, Slovenia’s Lana Herman — competing in her first KOTA and fresh off injury recovery — earned an emotional third-place finish, becoming one of the breakthrough stories of the event.
This was a day Harlem will never forget.

At just 20 years old, Lorenzo Casati has etched his name among the legends of kitesurfing.
By winning King of the Air 2025 with a staggering 34.02 points and an Impression Score of 9.78, he becomes the only rider to reach the podium four years in a row:
- 2022 – 1st
- 2023 – 2nd
- 2024 – 2nd
- 2025 – 1st
Throughout the entire event, Lorenzo landed 39 out of 40 tricks, finishing the final with zero crashes — a level of precision nearly unheard of in extreme Big Air conditions.

With this victory, Lorenzo joins one of the sport’s most exclusive clubs: the Trilogy winners — claiming all three major Big Air titles in the same year:
- GKA Big Air World Champion
- Red Bull Megaloop Winner 2025
- Red Bull King of the Air Champion 2025
Lorenzo’s words after the final said it all:
“It’s the best to share it with my brother and father — a dream come true. Winning the three biggest competitions in a year motivates me even more. And I have to thank my dad, Harlem, and everyone who supports us.”
LEONARDO CASATI: A HISTORIC DEBUT AT 16

On his very first day of eligibility, Leonardo Casati showed the world why he is considered one of the most exciting young riders in Big Air.
At just 16 years, 5 months, and 16 days old, he became the youngest finalist in KOTA history, surpassing Jamie Overbeek’s record. With a score of 31.12, Leo pushed his older brother all the way, riding with amplitude, confidence, and a maturity well beyond his years.
He didn’t just hold his own in the final — for much of the heat, it looked like he might win it.
His quote after the final says everything about what’s coming:
“Next year my goal is to beat my brother. Lorenzo, watch out — I’m coming.”
Big Air has officially entered the Casati era.
A METHOD YEARS IN THE MAKING: RENATO CASATI’S MASTERPLAN
Behind the brothers stands their father and coach, Renato Casati, the driving force behind their rise. In 2017, he left his job in Italy to fully dedicate himself to his sons — building a long-term, high-performance approach centered on discipline, precision, and daily improvement.
What began as a family project has become one of the most effective systems in modern kitesurfing.
As Renato said after the final: “Years of work were rewarded today. The best day of my life. And this is only the beginning.”

LANA HERMAN: A BREAKTHROUGH PERFORMANCE IN HER FIRST KOTA
Slovenia’s Lana Herman delivered one of the most emotional stories of the entire event. Coming back from injury and entering KOTA as the first reserve, she wasn’t even on the official rider list until the very last moment. But when the opportunity appeared, she seized it with absolute courage.

In her debut KOTA appearance, Lana powered her way to a stunning third place with a score of 23.73 points, becoming one of the standout riders of the Women’s division.
We can’t wait to see more of Lana soon!
THE GEAR: BULT TO PUSH LIMITS
A historic performance demands world-class equipment, and the Harlem team delivered it with the Harlem Peak — the ultimate 5-strut Big Air machine. Designed by Ralf Groesel and Aaron Hadlow, and crafted at Brainchild Production, the Harlem Peak embodies pure Big Air progression: maximum height, explosive power, unmatched stability, and total control in the harshest wind conditions.
Paired with the Harlem Ascent Big Air twintip, made for speed, precision, and insane takeoff efficiency, this setup became the complete package for pushing limits. Together, Peak + Ascent formed the package that lifted Lorenzo, Leonardo, and Lana to new heights… literally.

HARLEM KITESURFING: INNOVATION, COMMUNITY & THE DRIVE TO BREAK BOUNDARIES
This historic moment is more than a podium sweep — it’s the embodiment of Harlem’s vision for continuous innovation, high-performance gear built to break boundaries, and an unshakable belief in turning the impossible into reality.
Behind the KOTA team, Lorenzo, Leo, Lana and Stino, stood the full Harlem family — riders, team, designers, partners and friends — creating a sense of unity and support that could be felt across Kite Beach.
