Full Power: Harlem Takes over Tarifa

After months of waiting on the wind, the Levante finally switched on, and Full Power Tarifa by Harlem came alive. On Monday, the Women’s and Pro 2 divisions lit up the iconic Balneario spot — and Harlem Family went all in.

In the Women’s division, Annie Branton from the UK proved once again that she’s one to watch on the Big Air scene. Already fresh off a bronze medal at the GKA Youth Big Air in St. Peter-Ording, she brought power, flow, and control to Tarifa, leading much of the final and locking in the 2nd place podium. On top of that, Annie’s performance earned her the Kitemana Rider of the Day award — a clear statement that she’s rising fast through the ranks.

In the Men’s Pro 2 division, the spotlight shone on Juan Ipuana "Jama" from Colombia, who has recently made Tarifa his new home. In what was his first-ever international competition, Jama rode with confidence, style, and huge amplitude, securing 2nd place and punching his ticket into the elite Pro 1 battles. A massive debut that turned heads and set the tone for what’s to come.

Backing them up were Harlem teammates showing heart and fire: Italian Umberto Lazzarino, who’s been on a steep progression curve since switching onto Harlem gear, delivered big tricks and bold riding; and Dutchie Elsien Zijlstra , returning to competition after recovering from injury, who battled hard and showed she’s back in the game.

Two podiums, unforgettable performances, and Harlem riders all over the Tarifa lineup — the takeover is real. Now, all eyes are on the wind gods, as we keep our fingers crossed for strong Levante to unleash the Pro 1 Men’s division and bring even more fireworks to Balneario.
