Last week, storm Benjamin hit the Dutch coast, prompting a code orange warning for people across the Netherlands.
For us, that only means one thing: work is calling for action!

The last few years we didn’t really have much luck in the Netherlands with finding proper strong wind. But 2025 has changed the game and brought us more wind than we’ve seen in a long time! The Red Bull Megaloop Challenge kicked off the autumn season, and since then we’ve had multiple strong wind days.

Last Friday we were riding at one of our favourite spots called Wijk aan Zee. It’s a go-to place for many Big Air riders when the wind blows from the West or Southwest. Friday felt like pure chaos. The wind started already Thursday afternoon, so we were fully hyped for the session.

Wijk aan Zee was fully on, with 40 knots of wind, big onshore waves, and a small group of radical riders who dared to head out. It felt freezing cold, but that didn’t stop us for a second.

We had so much fun out there, pushing limits, laughing our heads off, and creating some insane shots with the Spacex / Surfr crew.

Storm sessions like these remind us exactly why we do what we do.
