The Harlem team kicked off the 2024 Big Air season in style at the first stop of the The Qatar Airways GKA Kite World Tour at the Lords of Tram battle in France.
Lorenzo, Leonardo, Lana and Clement pulled off an astounding repertoire of tricks during the three days of nerve-wrecking action, wowing the crowd and the judges at the Barcarès lagoon.
Lorenzo Casati secures Fourth place
Italian powerhouse and former King of the Air, Lorenzo Casati, secured fourth place after an intense final against winner Jamie Overbeek, Jeremy Burlando and Edgar Ulrich. Despite the challenging conditions presented by the Tramontana winds, Lorenzo showed impeccable style and unwavering consistency, landing every trick during the final heat.
Lana Herman sent it BIG
The latest member to the Harlem Family, Lana Herman dazzled the judges with stellar performance, convincingly earning a spot in the semi-finals. Following a fierce showdown at the Barcarès arena, she missed the grand final by a mere 0.10 points. Lana’s debut with the Harlem team marked an epic start for the Slovenian rider, and we’re thrilled to be on this journey with her.
Leonardo Casati’s spectacular Big Air debut
At the age of only 14, Leonardo Casati, one of the youngest riders in the competition, made a memorable debut on the Big Air scene. With three impressive seven-point tricks in the opening heat, the young gun outshone 2021 King of the Air Marc Jacobs and local star Edgar Ulrich, advancing straight to the next round of the event. Leonardo left no doubt that he is an incredible talent to keep a close eye on.
Clement Huot’s innovative game
The 21-year-old talent from France and newest addition to the Harlem team, Clement Huot showed his innovative style and determination on the water, progressing to Round 2 of the Barcarès battle. Despite closing a very tight heat with a show-stopping move and claiming one of the highest scores in the heat, the Frenchman narrowly missed advancing further in the competition. Hungry for more action, Clement is ready to unleash more feats, and we cannot wait to see more of him on the water.
